Spring is just around the corner. We are all excited for the warmer weather. Playing outside, grilling, sun, and gardening! This past winter was intense.
We had lots of snow, top 10 winter snowfall amounts. Lots of cold too.
To me this felt like my first real New England winter in the three years living here.
We still have about 8-12 inches in the backyard covering most of the open areas. Where there are dark things or toys that didn't make it in before the winter there are clear patches of lawn emerging. We even have some tiny buds coming up in the front beds. I know that at this time last year I had things planted in the garden by March 20! I think it will be another month at least before we can get in there.
During the winter we took on a house project as well. We decided to remodel our little bathroom. You can see the before and after photos below.
Plus since it was our only bathroom we thought we would help Tony and Pauline eat their food in their home. We were only there for 2 months. Adie really enjoys staying with Tony and Pauline. They have been so helpful in our lives. Pauline takes care of our little Junie when Rebecca is at work and Adie goes to pre-school. Adie is really enjoying making friends. She makes the best projects at school.
This past new years we traveled to Rhode Island for a friends wedding. Rebecca and Adie were asked to be a part of the wedding and had tons of fun.
We had some extremely unfortunate and unexpected news in December when my grandfather Henry past away. I traveled to Minnesota to meet my family for the funeral and we all made our minds up that we would all come back as soon as we could to share this place with our families. Minnesota has always been a place that we hold close to us. I felt, that at this visit, Minnesota became more ingrained in our lives. It has such special meanings to all of us. We will continue to stay close to our family that lives there!
Our little girls are growing up so fast. Adie, in pre-school, is shooting up and up! She is such a princess. It cracks me up at how "girly" she is. Everything out of her mouth is princess this and fairy that. She loves to dress up and put on as much jewelry and makeup(pretend) as possible.
Our little Junie, we call her Junie Bell, (I call her JB) is doing great! She is working on propping her self up on all fours preparing to crawl. She must be getting teeth soon as she has a constant waterfall of saliva!
It is great watching the two of them together. Adie brings toys to Junie to keep her going. Junie smiles and chuckles at Adie's faces and blabbing. Adie is wanting to hold her more and more. They are so much fun!
Happy spring!!! I will try to stay on updating more frequently too.
