Fall 2010.

As I sit here with June, the newest addition to our family, I feel there must be a more personal way to share the joys of our life. So today we start this to be able to add stories and memorable snippets from our daily life.
Happy Girl!
Please enjoy.

We have had such a great summer. It was the hottest summer on record though. With 25 days of 90+ degrees. Our new garden did quite well. We have a better idea of what to try for next year now too. Almost daily trips to the town beach on Lake Boone. We have been taking advantage of being surrounded by apple orchards. Frequent trips for apples, blueberries, pumpkins, and strawberries.

It is now fall here, and truly the best time of the year. Adie just turned 3 or as she says, "Free." She has had rainy birthday parties every time. It was still a blast. The limbo was a huge hit. I think the song played for at least 10 times!

Adie's passion went from Thomas the Tank Engine to Angelina Ballerina in an instant and is still going strong. Plus she got some dress up outfits for her birthday. She really has some great moves. She focuses on pictures of ballerinas and tries to imitate their poses using 3-year-old french vocabulary. She says words like "arabesque, jete', plie and curtsie". We were at a festival in western Mass this weekend, The Garlic and Arts Festival, and she didn't want to leave the dance stage. She could have watched those dancers all day. Then we got to the hula hoop station and she loved it. Not that she could actually do it yet, but she really loved the hoops.

June, now 11 weeks, is as mellow as ever. She has been sleeping through the night for about 3-4 weeks! What a happy little cherub. Even in the morning when she has slept through the night and is surely hungry, she smiles like crazy patiently waiting for her breakfast. She is getting better and better during tummy time holding her head up and looking around.

Too Cute!

Tomorrow is a sad day. Rebecca's maternity leave officially ends. Monday and Tuesday at first, then later she will be back for the usual three Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Adie is in preschool getting reacquainted with some of the kids who she used to play with a year ago.

At our home in Stow we have really lucked out having neighbors close by that have kids so close in age to Adie. She even has a friend, Caterina, that has the same birthday as Adie. They will eventually go to school together.

Well, that is enough of a rambling update for now. Please check in occasionally as our life here is constantly changing.
